Gutters and downspouts are important for proper drainage of rainwater but what happens next?
Once the water is funneled down the spout, where does it go? Is the grading of the yard is stopped enough for all the water to run off or does it allow accumulation around your foundation? A couple drops of water is not harmful but over time errosion will occur. Errosion around your foundation can and will make it unstable at some point and cause further issues. If your grading is not sloped enough, I highly recommend running french drains to ensure all water is removed from around your home! In this photo everything looks OK until it rains.

Did you know: Most modern homes built with wooden structural supports and a concrete foundation are expected to last at least 100 years, and could easily reach 200 years.
Flaws aside, a home inspection is your golden opportunity to have an expert show you how to take care of your house. ✔️ 🏠
Most of us spend much of our time indoors.
